SEPTEMBER EVENTS AND HIGHLIGHTS

KINDER HAUS KIDS' STAGE -- Saturday, September 25, at CLARENDON DAY.  Note this on your calendar.  The Kids' Stage will be set up at Wilson Blvd. and Washington Blvd.  We have a great line-up of children's entertainment including:  Jim Weiss, master storyteller; Bob Tobias, marvelous magician; the terrific Grossi sisters, face painter and tattoo artist; and Bob Brown, extraordinary puppeteer.  The Kids' Stage will kick off at 1:00 pm and run until 4:00 pm.  Bob Brown has performed at Wolf Trap for forty years.  More about Jim Weiss is below.

POTTERY PAINTING FOR KIDS -- Friday, Sept 10, from 3 to 4 pm.  Ms. Lisa will be on hand to explain her classes that are held in her own Arlington studio in the Williamsburg Shopping Ctr.  She'll have samples of her students' work.  Ms. Lisa aims to bring out creativity in kids of all ages and will enjoy talking to you about what she does.

STORYTELLER JIM WEISS

Jim Weiss is a master children's storyteller who has released many audio cassettes and CDs.  Examples of his stories include:  "Shakespeare for Children," "King Arthur and his Knights," and "The Three Musketeers."  After his last great visit with us, he left many of his CDs including "Good Luck Duck" and "A Treasury of Wisdom."  These CDs are wonderful on holiday trips in the car and anytime in the house.  They're terrific for children 4 years and up.  Jim has performed at the White House and many Arlington County schools.

Audrey Penn, author of The Kissing Hand, had a wonderful event with us and  left signed copies of her new sequel, A Kiss Goodbye.  A signed copy is an excellent gift idea.
